“The Bridgekeeper” (Chestertown, MD)
Nominated for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places, the bridge over the Chester River connecting Chestertown and Kingstown features a wonderfully weathered historic and architecturally unique bridge keeper's building with a bell-cast roof. The original painting was purchased by a local resident during the 2016 Paint the Town Exhibit in Chestertown.
Washington College (Chestertown, MD)
Chestertown is home to historic Washington College, a four-year liberal arts college founded in 1782. The beautifully landscaped campus is in walking distance to the downtown. Chestertown is located in the upper left corner of Maryland's eastern shore.
